Travelling to SEC

The SEC is one of the most prestigious venues in the UK and well known for its excellent service and facilities.

Air

Air Bus from Airport to Glasgow City

The closest airport to the SEC is Glasgow International Airport. The Glasgow Airport Express Bus Service

500 runs 24 hours a day, 7 days from the Airport to the City Centre at a cost of £8.50 (on app)/£9.00 (on bus) for single ticket or £14.00 (on app)/£14.80 (on bus) for open return.

 

Bus

The 100 Riverside bus service operated by SPT runs from George Square (north) in Glasgow city centre and the Scottish Event Campus and Riverside Museum (south) and back every 30 minutes between the hours of 09:29 and 16:56. The bus stop is located outside the Clyde Auditorium at the SEC.

 

Taxi

Glasgow offers discounted travel for pre-booked journeys between Glasgow Airport and the City Centre.

Taxis are also frequently available from the rank outside the arrival’s area and cost approximately £22 to the SEC Campus.

 

Train

The SEC has its own dedicated railway station – Exhibition Centre – allowing easy access to the city centre and suburbs and runs between the hours of 06:13 and 23:59. There are six trains an hour (around every 10 minutes) from Exhibition Centre (Journey time 4 minutes) to Glasgow Central station. From Glasgow Central Station to Exhibition Centre, depart from Platform 17 (low level).

 

Accessibility

The SEC has automatic doors at both the East and West entrances. The main doors into the SEC Armadillo have been widened to provide easier access for wheelchairs. Please contact a steward who will be pleased to open for you.

Every hall in the SEC is at ground level, and the upper levels of the SEC Armadillo, Loch Suite and Seminar Suite are accessible by lift.

If you have your own wheelchair and wish to bring it to Internoise 2022 you’re welcome to do so. The venue does have a small number of wheelchairs available to borrow, but these are available on a first come, first-served basis.

There are accessible toilets across the venue, and these are accessed by a Radar Key. SEC members of staff nearest the accessible toilets will have a Radar Key and you can also ask at the Internoise registration desk for these.
